Seniors With Their Moms

Since the beginning I’ve invited moms to be in a few photographs with their seniors. Reactions are usually varied, with some women understanding the value of holding this short-lived time in a vacuum and expressing immediate willingness, while others realize this is a special time but are hesitant to be photographed themselves. I completely understand that sentiment. But though I’ve never liked to be photographed, after being diagnosed with breast cancer in 2006 and finding almost no photos of my children and me together, I jump in them whenever I can. These images are more about your relationship than anything, so give it a try. Come ready to be photographed, and consider having your hair and makeup done professionally before your appointment so you feel as good and look as camera-ready as possible.
